Something about yourself
Hi,
I’m an editor from Santa Barbara CA, currently living and working out of Los Angeles.
I started cutting back in the 6th grade on a Powermac g4 cube, and took a serious interest in editing as part of the Dos Pueblos High School daily news program back when it was insane and not-award-winning,
I studied Theatre at UCLA, did a bunch of Shakespeare and even more improv around town before returning to the digital realm where I feel most engaged in the storytelling process; and least engaged with my core, posture, sleep schedule, and good dietary habits. I’m really like an Olympian in how physically taxing my work is, except the opposite and delusional.
After working as a PA for a few years (Bohemian Rhapsody, Once upon a Deadpool, Ford V Ferrari [Academy Award winner - Best Editing] ) I found myself in the Motion Picture Editors Guild. I was apprentice editor on Kingdom of The Planet of The Apes, working under the legendary Dan Zimmerman and Dirk Westervelt who taught me a thing or two about Avid, almonds, and bear traps.
When I’m not assisting on tentpole studio blockbusters, I’m cutting your indie movie in Premiere, drawing your storyboards in Photoshop, or removing that one aunt from your wedding video in sanguine solidarity. Take a look around and reach out if you see something you dig.
